As an actual teacher I don't know how I'd classify myself. I'd like to say I'm tough but fair, though I do know I've been known to use a tad too much sarcasm from time to time. - Janet

Then you need to hit them with their own depravity, compared to God rather than men, as you would to any age group. What else can you do?

But, yes, I see the difficulty. - ThirstyDavid

When I teach I hit thought-flow, context and always application otherwise its purely teaching information. So when I taught the book of Romans here I definitely touched on the Christological aspects of the Gospel and the depth of our salvation but the application was always exemplified in living those truths. Teaching that we're all depraved to an age group that is convinced that the people around them are more depraved than them and don't plan to change their opinion within the next five years or however long the Lord has alloted to them is extremely difficult. If not uppity in their eyes. - Rey

I'm not sure I see the problem. If you're teaching how to have your best life now, then there's a big difference between audiences. If you're teaching the book of Romans or Galatians, it should be basically the same for all, shouldn't it? - ThirstyDavid

Hi Rey. This post certainly opened avenues of thought for me to walk. And I always believe that we can see ourselves through the openess and honesty of someone else. Although not in everything-we are all different-but in some things there is a definite reflection.

God Bless.
