It is sad Rey.

In this day and age when one looks at how important it is to be tolerant of one another we discover that the most intolerant, sulpherous Christians are the ones on the far right and it doesn't matter if they are Catholic (like myself) or Baptist. That's why I think that Catholic extremists just like the SBC are completely out of touch and don't really have their fingers on the pulse of today's Christian. More and more moderates are coming to the fore every day because they are tired of listening to evangelists taking the stage who really belong in a mental home.

I can't speak for Baptists really since I only personally know a few and the baptistfire vs. strangebaptistfire sites were both vocal sites run by vocal individuals: hate-campaign was duly expected.

But as for Christians I have seen that many of us fall into crazy in-fighting backbiting gossiping reviling when push comes to, well just push really. It's sad but we're stuck in our flesh, Paul points out: our quadry does continue. I'm not justifying just agreeing how sad it is. - Rey

As a religious movement, how is it that Baptists like to convey that theirs is the most representative of being truely Christian or Christ-like when to non-Baptists they look like anything but? The in-fighting, the hate and the intolerace amongst Baptists really does stand out. Kind of a quandry eh? - Barry
