<description>That seems to me a plausible view of faith. We exercise faith all the time, for example, when we board a plane we believe that the pilot\\\'s skill, combined with all the variables that contribute to the flight, will get us to our destination.

I don\\\'t think that faith in God is that much different. We read His Word, we recognize our sinful state, we examine the options of going our way or going God\\\'s way, we respond to God\\\'s call to repent and believe. Or not, as the case may be.

No doubt, the Holy Spirit plays His role in the process, but we may not even be aware of that at the time. Does it matter? As we study the Bible we will learn much more about how God works in the lives of His children. Soli Deo Gloria! - Klompman</description>
