Virginia Tech...32 dead: why? The question that always comes up after something like this is: how can there be a good God if there is so much evil in the world? How come he doesn’t stop it right now? |

Death is humiliating. It doesn’t seem like that nowadays when we go to music-filled funeral halls in suits to gather around the dearly departed. There the person lays, sometimes wearing perfume for the first time ever, seemingly asleep and no odor escaping their preserved body. The perfectly ironed suit, the cushioned coffin, the gilded gold and the deep cherry wood—all of it looks rather royal, presidential even. But somebody else washed that corpse, carted it around, ensured that it wouldn’t stink then propped it up for people to see: humiliating. |

Apparently this joomla platform is horrid for holding comments but it's great for managing content. If I was a smarter programmer I would do something like my brother-in-Christ Shane and figure out how to incorporate content management with blogging and a forum: but I'm not. So what I'll do is keep the Bible Archive more as a magazine/content place which holds articles and thoughts and prayer requests (honestly it's super easy for me to find what I need so for archiving purposes it's fantastic) but I will double post studies/arguments/etc in the Bible Archive Blog (currently very ugly).
Do know that I tried to get these comments to carry on over there, but they didn't so I'm saving all the comments here at the Bible Archive but the Bible Archive Blog has a pristine commenting landscape so feel free to run there now and load the comments box with charges of heresy. heh. |

My commenting system has always been a bit of a hassle. I downloaded a free one and it was a spam magnet that often crashed my server. I bought one and the guy stopped doing updates to it—and it never really worked. I am currently testing one and I have to keep my eyes on the settings in the backend. So if you see a strange spinning wheel after you comment, wait five seconds then refresh the page to see if your comment is there. If it's not—drop me an email. I would much appreciate it. Thank you kindly! |
