XVII. Romans: A Peek at Mirkwood PDF Print E-mail

Let’s take a lesson from Mr. Bilbo Baggins when his company was wandering around old Mirkwood. That little hobbit screwed up his courage and scrambled up one of those dark trees to have a look about—seeing where they were, where they had come from and hopefully where they were going. Trudging along the path, the party might’ve lost focus of the point of the trip just the fact that they were getting nowhere fast. So, at this point in our study, it would perhaps be beneficial to take a look at where we are in the book of Romans and simultaneously study some similarities in the lay of the land and some differences. Perhaps we might even find out where we’re going.

TULIP - Totally Unprepared to Link to a New Internet Post
Not finished with a couple of articles yet, and I’ve been running around quite a bit. Looks like we may be inducing my wife this coming Friday since contractions are a minute apart and we don’t know when this is going to happen—so we’re getting a jump on it. Praise the Lord, it’s only like 2 days before her due date and He’s been good in keeping the baby and my wife healthy. For your reading pleasure, here are several links to non-Calvinist articles. I’ve linked to the counterpoint quite a bit on this site, so allow me:

Mary, Moms and Mayhem PDF Print E-mail

I thought of it for mother’s day, I really did. "Just a look at the mother’s in the New Testament" I said one day. Then I thought about Mary (Miriam actually) and started doing a study on all the Mary’s  in the New Testament (which some folk like to confuse). But I'm still in the middle of my Romans series and this recent post is killer rough, while starting to think about Ephesians and worrying about Elisha and Elijah or just when am I going to finish up Daniel or post something about Wives or get back on dueling with dead men—then I decided, that I’m nuts. So I’ll post another history of study notes so that you can take it up and do something with it, which I can not.

Project you don’t start at 12:05AM: Disassembling an Apple Dual USB ibook to find out if you can get the cd-rom working again. You. Just. Don’t.

On the plus side: If you need a 1.4mm bit for a power drill you can pick up those stinky little screwdriver sets from the 99cents store, rip them apart and use the screw heads in your drill. Perfect for computers.

Speaking of languages, here's a question: how do different believers read Eph 2:8 an 9? Or, how do you lose all your readers in one fell swoop?
