WARNING: I’m told that most bloggers will not read more than 1,000
words without beginning to skim the article. If you are one of these
people, you need to skip to the section below that states ONLY A
THOUSAND MORE WORDS TO GO. If, on the other hand, you are someone who
doesn’t like long introductions, and just need to skip to the ‘meat’ of
the article, you’ll want to scroll to the section that starts THE POINT
WHERE THE ARTICLE ACTUALLY BEGINS. |

Remember to come back tomorrow when I have guest blogger Pastor Russ, a Christian brother I met over at Tim's site,
who is going to be working on a Non-Calvinist series called TULIPS. His
Monday post will focus on his view on Total Depravity. I'm sure I don't have to remind you to be gracious to our guest blogger and to focus your commentary to the topic at hand. Eventually he will finish his series and perhaps I'll invite a Calvinist brother to present TULIPS. Don't worry, this is a preprogrammed post. :) |

A healthy baby and a completely surreal labor. We got in
around 6 for a seven A.M. induction.
It took forever to set up, but when they finally had the Pitocin drip going it
was 8:10 AM, five minutes before the
arrival of our OB/GYN. Coasting right up to 9:00
AM, the OB/GYN broke my wife’s water to try to see some activity. A
mere four centimeters dilation and my wife still wasn’t in real labor as we
chuckled over the stupidity of Saved by the Bell,
College Edition. The Surreal began to happen while I ate breakfast. |

This will be a light posting weekend. This morning I’m in the hospital watching my daughter enter into the world. God willing, I’ll post baby-stats later in the day (if I’m up to it). So I’ll claim the RLTB card for the weekend. But come back Monday when I have guest blogger Pastor Russ, a Christian brother I met over at Tim's site, who is going to be working on a Non-Calvinist series called TULIPS. His Monday post will focus on his view on Total Depravity. Can you say, “whetted appetite”? |

This post has nothing to do with deduction versus induction. If you
will, it’s a prayer request as well as the anxious anticipation of a
man who knows that Friday is the day where labor will be induced. |
