I get a bit depressed when I read Hebrews 11. Anybody who’s a long-time Christian is acquainted with the list of the Bastions of Faith. Sometimes non-Christians have heard of Hebrews 11 when we say “By faith we understand that the world was framed by the word of God”. The way the chapter is renowned just makes it all the more depressing because I know the quality of my faith.

Few sites make it to my great reads list. The ones that I currently have on there I check twice a day to see what I can read or spend just as long wading through links. I look at a site for a good two months before it goes on that list and if the site starts to bore me, it loses its Great Read status. I have added a new site.

Sometimes I feel a little weird posting personal blog posts on the Archive. They have absolutely nothing to do with the Bible, often border on the inane, and generally leave me feeling flat. I need a place I that I could put useless information without mucking up this site. Thus my secondary blog: Rey’s A Point. Or Rey’s the Barn. Or some other name that plays off of my name. Whatever the case may be here’s a post about my new house.

I have an idea why Adam and Eve hid yet even so I think it was futile. I mean, sure we have the whole benefit of seeing God work through history so we have some understanding of what He’s capable of…but so did Adam. He saw that a bunch of animals were made for the benefit of his naming (Gen 2:19). God created his wife and he acknowledged her and was bound to her. All that and still he hid from God’s presence.

There is no mention of Eve’s walk towards the center of the Garden or if she was already there when the Serpent encountered her. The writer immediately transports us to the tree filling up Eve’s eyes, prohibitions forgotten (Gen 3:6).

I’m not a movie expert because I like Netflix. All of the people on my Netflix friend’s list can attest to the fact that I have some, um, interesting taste. It’s just that the last couple of years I’ve been seeing this funny tune pop up in movies touting the proper way to measure a worthwhile life.
