What am I saying then: Is the Law actually sin? Are they equal?
No, come on now—of course not. I wouldn’t have known what I was doing was wrong
if it wasn’t for the Law telling me it was wrong. I wouldn’t have known that
coveting was specifically wrong until the Law told me I wasn’t to do it.
Therefore I knew: Coveting is Wrong.

I don’t usually like dramatized audio Bibles. I like to
follow the text and picture it in my head—be it the narrative, the poetry or
the argument. But when I came across this upcoming audio Bible (HT: Lingamesh)
I got absurdly excited. Samuel Jackson. Denzel Washington. Eartha Kitt! Some
folk will raise the banner and call summon the jihad—it’s inevitable. Personally,
I’m dying to hear it. Here’s the full cast (PDF) and here’s an audio link.

Light Christian Carnival up at Brain Cramps for God. I would
have submitted something if I had written anything beside personal junk for the
last 3 weeks. Thing is, the personal just flows out of my fingers but the Bible
Studies takes some solid hours of work. I have hundreds of notes that I have to
organize into a presentable format and with my
new assembly working through the New Testament; it’s been difficult. I’ve also
been wrestling with some joomla problems—specifically the missing newsflash
module.

My hope: Bible Publisher reads this and says “Great Idea!
Let’s print and publish it.” I was inspired to do this when submitting a form a
while back to HCSB. They asked “what would your perfect Bible be” so here it
is. Be warned that this Bible will likely break the physical boundaries of time
or space but if someone can persevere and overcome these obstacles, I’ll say a
hearty “thank you”. Before the charge is raised, I know that this Bible exists
in electronic form. But I don’t like carrying my laptop to the pulpit since I’m
afraid of a catastrophic incident. Like, it’ll slip off, crash into my glass of
water in a sermon stopping moment and an elderly man will shoot up, shaking
fist in the air and a shadow on his brow as he shouts “Thus the fiery wiles of the
devil shall be quenched!”

I set up the BibleArchive to be a place where I could: 1)
put up my own Bible Notes; 2) put up links I’ve found on things I’m researching
thus making it easier for myself and others to find; 3) are Plymouth Brethren;
4) put up links to sites which I have found helpful; be it in their
understanding of Scripture, their point of view or data.
Therefore you might wonder why some sites are not on my
weblinks. You can contact me if you feel that a site should be added and I will
decide if I add the site. You might come across sites on my web links section
that I don’t agree with but they’re in some way helpful to me and I figured
helpful to you. You can contact me if you find that somehow the site has some
serious problems.
But I have always held this policy: I will not link to sites
of confessing Christians who bring a bad testimony to the Body of Christ in the
way they speak to others; be it friend, family, church affiliation or height on
the ecosystem. The basis for defining a bad testimony is left up to my discretion
but I will say this: embracing something that brings shame to the gospel is
high on my list as well as the way I see how a site treats other believers.
If you feel I removed you in error, feel free to contact me. We'll discuss. God bless you.
