For the near future, don't bother using emoticons when commenting. My commenting system, though much improved, has a serious flaw which deletes everything past the emoticon. I'm not sure if it does the same with quotes and such. You will note what is being deleted when you submit the comment and go to the second screen and you see copy from your post repeated beneath the "submit" button. Very upsetting.
