The multiplication of bread confirms that Jesus is the Bread of Life. The healing of a blind man (enabling a blind man to see the light), confirms that Jesus is the Light of the World. The healing of a paralyzed man by Jerusalem's Sheep Gate confirms that Jesus is the Door of the Sheepfold. The miraculous catch of fish just before the "Shepherd My sheep" discussion with Peter confirms that Jesus is the Good Shepherd Who Gave His Life for the Sheep. The raising of Lazarus from the dead confirms that Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life. The healing of the nobleman's son confirms that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. While the nobleman was on his way, his servants confirmed the truth of Jesus words, "Your son will live. The water turning to wine confirms that Jesus is the True Vine. As He walked on the water, Jesus said, "I am; do not be afraid."

Now that I have had an additional two-and-a-half years to think about it, I would like to revise my comments:

The multiplication of bread confirms that Jesus is the Bread of Life. The healing of a blind man (enabling a blind man to see the light), confirms that Jesus is the Light of the World. The healing of a paralyzed man by Jerusalem's Sheep Gate confirms that Jesus is the Door of the Sheepfold. Jesus entering a room when the doors are locked (not through the door, as he said a shepherd would enter a sheep pen, but "some other way," as he said a thief would enter a sheep pen) confirms that Jesus is the Good Shepherd Who Gave His Life for the Sheep. The miraculous catch of fish confirms that Jesus is the Source of Living Water (the Holy Spirit). Jesus' walking on the water confirms that he is one with the Father, which is why he could say, "I am; do not be afraid" as he walked on the water.

Its tough with the Water-Wine miracle being the True Vine. In one sense, I can completely see what you're saying: the Old System was completed and the True System had arrived just as Israel was the Vine in the Old Testament and Jesus is the True Vine which Israel spoke of.

And yet, the enacted parable of the clearing the temple seems to point more at the system of worhsip rather than the Vine/Branch of God. So the filling of the vat implies the filling up of the ceremonial processes of the Jewish System found in the Temple, made complete and replaced by the True Temple which is Christ Himself. This is why he can easily say, in the story that is very much interconnected: "Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up again."
