Prayer Request: Rolfe Family

Here is an excerpt from April 4,2004

My step-dad Jasper, was diagnosed with bladder cancer a few months ago, and they thought they had caught it in time for chemo to take care of it. As of last Wednesday, they have learned that the cancer is growing, in spite of the chemo.

Here is an update from today:

Jasper's hospice nurse evaluated his condition yesterday and told my mom it appears Jasper might have less than 2 weeks left, at this point. He has deteriorated rapidly, since his prognosis in December.

Pray for Jaspers who may not be a believer. Pray for the family and this time of heavy trial. Here's a link to their prayer request page.

Update: As some of you know, my step-dad Jasper is dying. He was diagnosed with bladder cancer some time ago, went through the usual course of treatments and eventually they quit working. In December he was given a prognosis of 6 months or less. Last week, he was given 2 weeks or less, and as of yesterday, the hospice nurse changed that again, to a few days, at best.

My mom is taking comfort in the Scriptures, and is asking folks to pray - and I am doing the same.

Please remember Jasper and Estella and as the Lord leads your prayers today, and in the days to come. We're hanging around the house waiting for that phone call. This is a very difficult time for alot of us.

Prayer Request: Tulip Girl and La Sabot

Here's an excerpt from her site. Pray for them:

As Hubby posted, our second son T7 has obstructive(?) bronchitis and pneumonia and was admitted to the hospital last night. Prognosis is good, but he needs to be in for several days.

We were at the state children�s hospital yesterday, and transferred to a private hospital today. (Don�t worry�both are clean. But one day we�ll tell you amusing stories about the State Hospital. . . *L*) I stayed with him last night, Hubby is with him tonight. Babushka has been with the other boys a lot (in fact, she was the one who realized he had more than a normal chest cold.)

Also, La Sabot Post-Modern's has a sick 7 year old Post shows some more info:

I came home from work today to find that Tennyson, my seven year old, was having trouble breathing. He'd had a cough for a few days, but since it's winter we'd assumed it was a cold. It took a more serious turn today.

They've admitted him to a research hospital, and x-rays confirmed he has pneumonia. The Duchess is with him now -- we'll be alternating shifts there for the next 5-7 days. There's a possibility we'll need to evacuate him to a country with a more modern health system.

Shhh. I just found out that they're married! Thanks Sozo!
UPDATE: Their son is home and doing well.

Prayer Request: Missions

PT is planning a week long outreach to teens in his city for March and a two week evangelistic mission trip to India in June and a week long outreach into the inner city of Miami in July. Pray for him and those working with him in the spreading of the Gospel. Add Comment (0)

Prayer Request: Biblehelp.org

Mike from biblehelp.org has a prayer request. He has some great articles which shed lots of light on Scriptural issues and the articles are currently being translated into Portuguese. Another group in Australia wants to translate the materials into Dutch. He asks that we pray to God for blessing and protection for the project. Read More Add Comment (0)
